MacGillivray's Warbler

Geothlypis tolmiei · New World Warblers

This shy warbler is often heard before it's seen, singing a lively, rollicking song from dense undergrowth. Males sport a distinctive gray hood and broken white eye-arcs, while females are duller with a faint eye-ring. They forage actively for insects among shrubs and low branches, flicking their tails.
